MODERN LUXURY SPOTLIGHT
David Manzi – Manzi Appraisers & Restoration CEO, Founder
Fascinated by American History, David Manzi, CEO and Founder of Manzi Appraisers & Restoration and a former United States Marine has built his company on the core values of the Marine Corps: honor, courage, and commitment. “In my business, my clients expect nothing short of trustworthiness, being ethical, and respectful of their privacy.”
Offering a full range of restoration services including woodwork, painting and artwork restoration, framing, upholstery, and decorative object/collectible restoration, Manzi also offers art handling, transportation, and storage services. He has recently expanded services to include a premier interiors division—Manzi Home Services, which includes window treatments, wallpaper, rugs, carpeting, painting, and cabinet installation. After his time in the Marine Corps and a long career in the corporate world, Manzi prides himself on his client relations. “Working with clients, whether a famous actor, athlete, designer, homeowner, or collector and being able to restore and/or appraise ‘the things they LOVE’ and to see their reaction is always great, however, it is the relationships and trust I have made with them that I am most proud of,” he explains. “Simply put, I really focus on listening to others!” Building his company to be synonymous with restoration and appraisals in the greater Boston area, Manzi is currently looking to expand his brand to Seattle, Florida, and throughout New England. “I would love to make Manzi Appraisers & Restoration a national brand. We’re only two years old, but continuing to grow the business 125% since opening is exciting and very promising!”
Recognizing that his work often favors sentimentality over practicality, Manzi encounters many clients questioning their intended projects. “When a client asks me ‘Should I spend the money to restore?’, be it furniture, artwork, or decorative objects, I always ask ‘Does it hold sentimental value or monetary value?’ Most of the time it comes down to a certain person or memory tied to that object, and that’s a decision that only the client can make.” In his limited free time, Manzi spends time with his family and donates to causes that are close to his heart. “I’m a father to three and a ‘Grampie’ to my 3 ‘G’s’, Gemma, Gianna, and Giovanni.” I work 7 days a week, but I love to go out to dinner with my girlfriend, Maria, to our favorite spots on a Saturday night. As a Marine veteran, I am proud of the support Manzi Appraisers & Restoration does for Wounded Warrior Project and Tunnels to Towers. These are American Heroes!”
