Appraisal Process for Fair Market Value
- Initial Consultation: Client contacts Manzi Valuation & Consignment Service to discuss the item(s) to be appraised.
- Item Inspection: Appraiser visually examines the item to identify its condition, authenticity, and other relevant factors.
- Research: Appraiser researches to determine the item’s fair market value, considering factors such as sales data from similar items, market trends, condition, and rarity.
- Valuation: Appraiser provides a detailed appraisal report, including a description of the item, fair market value estimate, and supporting documentation.
- Professional Photography: High-quality photos are taken at Manzi’s showroom to showcase the item from multiple angles.
- Description and Pricing: A detailed item description includes its condition, materials, and other relevant details. A price is determined based on the appraisal report.
Consignment Process
- Consignment Agreement: The client agrees to consign the item to Manzi Valuation & Consignment Service after paying for the appraisal and, if applicable, restoration costs.
- Marketing Strategy: Manzi develops a customized marketing plan for each item, including online listings, in-store display, and targeted advertising.
- Sales and Negotiation: Manzi’s skilled sales team demonstrates the item to prospective buyers and negotiates offers.
- Commission and Payout: Manzi Valuation & Consignment Service retains a commission on the sale price. The client receives the remaining percentage of the sale price after deducting any applicable fees, taxes, and expenses.
Fees and Compensation
Manzi Valuation & Consignment Service retains a commission on the sale price of the estate’s assets. After deducting any applicable fees, taxes, and expenses, the client will receive the remaining proceeds from the sale.
The following fees may apply:
- Packing & Handling Fees: For specialized packing, labor, and equipment to ensure safe transportation and storage.
- Supplies/Materials: Cost of packing materials, boxes, and other supplies necessary for packing and transporting assets.
- Necessary Cleaning & Preparing: Fees for surface cleaning and preparing items to ensure they are presentable for sale.
- Photography: Included in the appraisal fee.
- Monitor Listings: Included in the appraisal fee.
- Transportation Fees: Monthly fees for safe and efficient transportation of assets to and from various locations.
